Five features of Venetian Blinds you're sure to love!

Are you looking for a luxurious and timeless window treatment? Whether you choose Timber, PVC, or Aluminium Blinds, Venetians are a versatile and stylish solution to suit any home. Venetian blinds are easy to operate and let in just the right amount of light, whatever the time of day.

How do Venetian Blinds work?

When it comes to operating Venetian Blinds, they couldn't be simpler.

  • Venetian Blinds use a series of slats that tilt and can be raised and lowered to control the amount of light and privacy in a room.

  • The slats are attached to a tilting mechanism at the top of the blind. When you turn the mechanism, the angle of the slats changes. So you can choose how much sunlight to let in while maintaining privacy.

  • To raise or lower a Veneta Venetian Blind, you can either simply pull on the lift cord until you reach the desired height or lift the bottom rail to the desired height with our cordless option.

  • To tilt the slats there are two options, wand or cords. Twist the wand or pull the cord to adjust the tilt of the slats. It is your choice.

Venetian White Faux Timber Blinds In The Bedroom

The main benefit of Venetian blinds is that you can let in as much or as little light as you want whilst maintaining privacy. This is ideal for spaces that get a lot of sun, like kitchens, dining rooms and living rooms, and bedrooms that face East or West. You can block out the glare when you need to.

Do Venetian blinds block out light?

Venetian blinds aren't typically known for offering complete blackout, but that doesn't mean they can't be helpful in darkening a room. The slats on our slimline Aluminium Venetian Blinds can be tilted up to 180 degrees, which means you can block out most of the light coming in through the window. Additionally, you can use drapes, blackout curtains, or shades in combination with your Venetian Blinds to create an even darker space.

Venetian Blinds provide privacy. If you live in a busy area or have close neighbours, blinds are an excellent option. You can ensure that people outside can't look in by tilting the slats so only light comes into the room and not prying eyes. Or close them entirely for when you need downtime!

Our timber and PVC Venetian blinds have SmartPrivacy™ technology, which offers the perfect balance between privacy and natural light. With tighter closure and no slot holes on the slats, people can't see in when the blind is closed – giving you peace of mind and home protection.

Venetian Timber Blinds In Rustic Grey For Dining Room

Venetian blinds can help you to improve your home's energy efficiency. In the winter, you can keep the heat in by tilting the slats parallel to the window. This prevents drafts and helps insulate your home. Conversely, open the slats in the summer so air can circulate better and cool your home. Or close them when the sun is at its hottest to keep the heat out.

Do Venetian Blinds keep heat out?

It depends on the quality of the product, and how well they are fitted! A high-quality custom product will fit more snugly to the window and keep heat out more effectively in the summer. In addition to diverting the sun's rays, this will also reduce the heat transferred through the glass.

Venetian blinds are a timeless classic. They look good in any space and with any décor. Whether your home is more traditional or contemporary, there's a Venetian blind to match. They're versatile and can be used in any type of window.

Timber blinds offer a natural look, while aluminium blinds have a sleeker, modern feel. If you're looking for a way to bring some colour into your space without adding any paint, Venetian blinds are a fantastic choice.
