Orders

CAN I CHANGE MY ORDER?

At Veneta we are focussed on making sure that you are completely satisfied and happy with your new window decorations.

If you do require any changes after you have ordered, please call us on 1800 836 382 as soon as possible after placing your order. Please also email us at orders@venetablinds.com.au with the changes required to your order so we can make sure you get the right window decorations, just how you would like them.

CAN I CHECK THE PROGRESS OF MY ORDER?

An order confirmation email will be sent to you with a clickable link to view your order. 

Once your blind has been manufactured a shipping advice, will be emailed to you with your tracking information and link to follow it's journey to your door.

Blinds

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN INSTALLING WITHIN THE REVEAL OR ON THE FACE OF THE WINDOW?

The most popular method of installation is within the reveal of the window frame.

Please note we take deductions for all reveal fit blinds & shutters, so please ensure you provide us the exact measurements of the reveal with no deductions taken.

If you are looking for specifics on reveal depths required or deductions we take when manufacturing, simply go to the individual product page you want the details on, and look at the "Drive Control Options" section which will give you all the specifications on that control type.

If however there is insufficient depth within the reveal, you can also partially reveal fit the blind which means that part of the headrail will protrude out from the reveal.

The alternative to reveal fit is to install on the face which is face fit. 

The frame around your window is called an architrave and the architrave is commonly used to mount a blind as a face fit.

I WANT TO SEE THE REAL THING, LIKE A SAMPLE OF THE COLOUR OR FABRIC I WANT?

We can express ship you 30 Free Colour Samples to make sure you select the right colour. We send your free colour samples express post to your door, within 2-3 business days for most areas.

CAN I TRUST THE COLOURS ON MY SCREEN?

There will always be a degree of colour variation between different screens and monitors, from the actual colour of the material.

We recommend ordering up to 30 Free Colour Samples to ensure you will be satisfied with your selection.

WHAT IS THE BEST BLIND FOR INSULATION?

Studies have shown us the Honeycomb range in all cell sizes but the Double Cell Blind has slightly better insulation properties of modern blinds. The single & double cells create air locks and have a distinct advantage over other blinds on the market.

Roman blinds when ordered with a thicker fabric and blockout lining offer an excellent level of insulation.

Our Timber Phoenixwood Venetian blinds also rate highly due to their timber composition and tiny air pockets creating a more natural insulation barrier.

Any of our blockout fabric blinds will always do a great job of insulating your home.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY CHILD SAFETY?

Many household items hold an imminent danger to children or pets. Approximately 1 child every year dies in Australia of strangulation from blind cords and chains.

Blinds from Veneta that have cords or chain controls come with break away safety devices that ensure the highest level of safety possible in a corded blind. We ensure our blinds meet and exceed the legislative requirements to prevent such an unfortunate event from becoming fatality.

At Veneta we offer a large & innovative range of cordless and chainless blinds on most of our products.

Australian Law now states 'To avoid creating a possible strangulation hazard for children, the corded internal window covering must be installed in such a way that a loose cord cannot form a loop 220mm or longer at a height of less than 1600mm above floor level.

A cord/chain guide may be installed lower than 1600mm above floor level if the cord/chain is sufficiently secured or tensioned to prevent a loop 220mm or longer from being formed.

If a cord/chain guide is installed lower than 1600mm above floor level it must be designed to prevent a child from being able to remove the cord. If a cleat is used to secure the cord, it must be installed at least 1600mm above floor level because a child is capable of unwinding a cord from a cleat.

Delivery

HOW LONG BEFORE I RECEIVE MY BLINDS?

Your order will be delivered within 14-21 working days from the date of your order. 

Custom Plantation Shutter orders are shipped via sea freight due to being heavy & bulky, delivery is 7- 9 weeks from order.

Manufacturing is always consistent however couriers can sometimes be overwhelmed with demand which is out of our control during peak seasonal periods. 

Your tracking information will be presented to you to track the delivery after it has been manufactured, usually in around 7-10 days from placing your order.

HOW IS MY ORDER DELIVERED?

Our delivery partners are FedEx Express, which is one of the largest delivery services in the world.  FedEx are affiliated with TNT so your goods may also arrive by TNT or with a smaller local carrier for regional areas.

WHAT IF NO ONE IS HOME?

If you are not home at the time of delivery, the driver will leave your order in as safe a place as possible at your address.

If they cannot do this, they will leave a contact card for you to either pickup or reschedule delivery when you're home.

MY BLINDS ARE DAMAGED, WHAT DO I DO?

Firstly, do not panic we will take care of this for you.

Please make sure to accept delivery of the blind, even if the damage is extensive and visible, this will avoid any claim delays and processing a new blind to you as soon as possible.

Please send photos of the packaging and the damaged blind to admin@venetablinds.com.au, show us the damage, along with the details of which blind on the order is damaged, and we will get another blind on the way to you asap.

MY BLIND DOES NOT FIT IN MY WINDOW, WHAT DO I DO?

Do not worry, your order is covered by free our measure insurance.

Please email us at admin@venetablinds.com.au within 4 weeks of receiving your blinds and our team will guide you through the easy process of getting the replacement blind of the correct size sent to you, and give you suggestions on how you can organise return of the incorrect sized blind back to us.
