Roller Blinds

Roller blinds are a type of window covering that can be used in both residential and commercial settings. Available in a range of colours and styles, we offer a variety of designs to suit your specific decor. They can also provide a number of benefits, including:

• Light Control: An effective way to filter light or block it out completely. This makes them ideal for use in rooms where you want to control the level of external light illuminating the space.

• Privacy: When lowering your blinds, not only are you blocking out external lighting but you are also obscuring the interior of your space from anybody outside.

• Insulation: Effectively insulate your home by blocking out drafts and heat loss. This can help to reduce your energy bills, and make your space more comfortable.

• UV Protection: Provide protection from harmful UV rays. This is especially important in rooms with lots of windows, such as sunrooms or skylights.

In order to successfully install your made to measure blinds, it is essential to collect accurate measurements. Fortunately, it's not too difficult to do - all you need is a tape measure and a few minutes. When collecting measurements, the method you will use will vary depending on whether you want a reveal fit or face fit for your order.

1.  Reveal Fit Measurements:

Width: Measure the inside of the window frame from left to right in 3 different places, and use the smallest measurement.

Height: Measure the inside of the window frame from top to bottom in 3 different places, and use the smallest measurement.

Depth required: You’ll also need to check the measurement from the window or window handles to the front of the window frame, to ensure there is enough room for the blind to operate freely. See table below.

Note: We take deductions so the blind fits neatly inside the window frame.

2.  Face Fit Measurements:

Width: Measure the exact width of the area you would like the blind to cover. We recommend the blind overlaps the window by at least 50mm on each edge. If you have an architrave, it is recommended to measure from the outside of the architrave to the outside of the architrave.

Height: Similarly to the above, measure the exact height of the area you would like the blind to cover. We recommend the blind overlaps the window by at least 50mm on each edge. If you have an architrave, it is recommended to measure from the outside of the architrave to the outside of the architrave.

Note: The blind will be supplied at the exact sizes you provide, except roller blinds, where the fabric is supplied approx 30mm less in width (not including the brackets).

If you plan on cleaning your windows, you may be required to temporarily remove your indoor roller blinds to gain better access. Removing your blinds is a simple process that can be done in just a few minutes. Start by pulling the blinds up to the top of the window. Then, use a screwdriver to remove the screws from the brackets that are holding the blinds in place. Once the screws have been removed, you can simply pull the blinds down and out of the window. A detailed description on how to remove any of our designs are included in our instructions.

Roller blinds are a popular window treatment choice for many homeowners because they are attractive, and easy to operate. Additionally, cleaning them is a relatively straightforward process. Here is a quick rundown on how to keep your window shades looking their best:

1. Start by dusting the blinds with a soft cloth or brush attachment on your vacuum cleaner. This will remove any surface dirt and dust.

2. If the blinds are particularly dirty, you may need to wash them with a mild detergent. Fill a bucket with warm water, and add a few drops of liquid dish soap. Dip a clean cloth into the soapy water, and scrub the blinds gently. Rinse the blinds with clean water when you're finished.

3. To remove stubborn stains, make a paste out of baking soda and water. Rub the paste onto the stained area, and let it sit for several minutes before rinsing it away.

4. Once the blinds are clean, dry them with a towel to prevent water spots.
